Our Studio
At White Cloud Pilates West Pilates, we offer group classes, private sessions and semi-private sessions. Our state-of-the-art Pilates studio features a spacious classroom equipped with Balanced Body Reformers, Chairs, Arcs and Mats. Our private studio features the full suite of Pilates apparatus with two Reformers, a Trapeze Table, a Chair, a Ladder Barrel, Spine Correctors, and a multitude of props. WCPW instructors are all comprehensively certified in the Pilates method and are motivated to create an uplifting, comfortable and meaningful environment during each session. Comprehensive certification means our instructors are trained and experienced on each of the apparatus and understand the function of Pilates as a progressive system held together by clear principles and intention. Our clientele create a warm and welcoming population of various ages and abilities. We look forward to having you join this community. Our Instructors
Leslie Mitchell | Owner, Instructor
Leslie began taking ballet at the age of 6 and has over 20 years of ballet experience, including having danced professionally with the Lexington Ballet Company. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a BS in Speech Communications. Leslie is a Comprehensively Certified Balanced Body instructor and received her training under the guidance of Troy McCarty. With over 15 years of Pilates teaching experience, Leslie has worked with all types of skill levels and specific client needs such as knee/hip replacements, spinal issues (disc related issues, scoliosis, stenosis) and pregnancy. Leslie enjoys working with all body types and has a strong skill set for modifying movements for each person’s specific needs. She also loves helping her clients to truly achieve a mind/body connection through movement. Her motto is: Real People REALLY Doing Pilates!
Grace Auble | Studio Manager, Instructor
Grace Auble is a movement practitioner, educator and Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher. In addition to Pilates, Grace has spent many years as a dance professional, performing, teaching, choreographing and directing education programming. Grace holds a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Ohio University, where she began her Pilates training, and studied anatomy, kinesiology, movement pedagogy, and mind-body patterning. Grace has studied Pilates mat and apparatus through national leaders in Pilates education Power Pilates, Balanced Body, and Polestar Pilates. As a Polestar Pilates Practitioner, Grace’s teaching is driven by a scientific foundation of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and motor control. In addition to teaching Pilates, Grace finds great joy in guiding Pilates teachers in training as a Polestar Educator. Her interests in anatomy and functional movement drive her passion for teaching Pilates as a form of whole body health and wellness. Grace is experienced and educated in teaching clients from beginner through advanced including specific expertise with pelvic floor, scoliosis, pre/post natal clients, hip/knee replacements, spinal conditions, elderly, youth, dancers, performing artists and athletes. Her motivation as a Pilates teacher is to improve the wellbeing of her clients, while working to achieve their most ideal movement patterns as well as their personal goals.
Mikaela Brown | Instructor
Mikaela Brown is passionate about the power of movement + story and how the two collide to bring freedom, hope, and healing. A lifelong fascination with how the body moves and speaks led to a career as a professional dancer/choreographer/director and into intensive study of how the body works. Mikaela is a certified PMA® Pilates Instructor and Hanna Somatic Educator. She desires to help clients discover the deeper story in their body, unravel pain and learn to move with greater ease, strength and vitality. In short, she desires to help her clients become more embodied so they can continue to be present to what matters most to them in life. Outside of art-making and bodywork, Mikaela enjoys long walks through the woods or by the water, ice cream & chocolate, and hanging with her husband Joshua, son Jude, and daughter Clementine.
